Gary Taylor updates Smith Farms, Vann Drive, Park Place

The Jackson Sun visited with Gary Taylor of Gary A. Taylor Investment Co., and asked about updates on Smith Farms, Vann Drive, and Park Place on Dr. F.E. Wright Drive.

Question: A movie theater, supermarket, office complex and residential development are just a few of the projects envisioned to occupy space between Oil Well Road and Old Humboldt Road and surrounding areas off the U.S. 45 Bypass. That was the lead of a feature in The Sun in October 2014.

What is the latest on this proposed development?

Answer: I really do not have anything to report right now, nothing concrete. Malco is still taking a hard look, but they have not made a final decision yet. We’re also talking to multiple supermarkets.
